EC Day 7... Safely Crossing the Finish Line!

KiwiBird arrived safely at the finish line in Key Largo yesterday at 15:08 tired, but with a smile on her face in thanks for the bucket of adult beverages waiting for her courtesy of KneadingWater.

There are so many stories to tell about this adventure (many that will be told by all Watertribers tonight after the awards ceremony/prize giving) that I'll let her fill you all in on the details when she returns on Sunday night.

Many thanks to everyone who has been following KiwiBird's adventure this last week and keeping positive vibes/prayers flowing her way. For official challenge results please see:
http://watertribe.com/DataAccess/Results.aspx .

For her first race at an expert level after less than two years of experience in a kayak (with a Greenland paddle no less!), the bird didn't do too badly.

PS. the photo above is from KiwiBird's cell phone.

Congratulations Kristin and in keeping with the grand tradition of these sorts of adventures, I have no doubt that in the future the alligators will have doubled in size, the waves really were Hawaiian like and the sun unbearable. How you ignored a hurricane warning, rescued an endangered bird and redesigned your office back home all on a glass of water a day. A good day at that! And that's the way it should be. Well done from all of us. Garry and family.
